PRN OB-GYN Registered Nurse (RN)

Operating within our advanced women's services line, you will deliver specialized care across a diverse spectrum of clinical needs, including high-risk antepartum monitoring, post-operative gynecological surgical recovery, and comprehensive postpartum and maternal-newborn care.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive womens health nursing care and discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Administer medications accurately, carry out physician treatment orders, and assist with specialized obstetric and gynecological procedures.
  • Observe patient clinical status, maintain accurate electronic medical records, and report critical changes through the established chain of command.
  • Plan and coordinate specialized patient and family education, carefully assessing their understanding of prenatal, postpartum, or surgical instructions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in age-appropriate competencies and infection control techniques while contributing to hospital performance improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a collaborative workplace environment while strictly maintaining patient confidentiality and honoring diverse cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual values.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License with 90 days of hire date).
  • Current BLS certification are required.
  • 1-year of OB-GYN clinical experience as a licensed RN required.
