American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a NICU position requiring recent NICU experience with premature and critically ill neonates and NRP certification.
Details- 13-week travel assignment in the NICU of a hospital setting
- 25-bed unit staffed with 41 team members, including a CNC and RNs on each shift
- Patient ratios of 1:2-3 for Level 2 and 1:3-4 for Level 3 patients
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Uses Meditech Expanse EMR
- Floating to Mother-Baby/Postpartum required
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NRP certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required, including care of premature and critically ill neonates
- Competency with neonatal respiratory support, IV/central line management, medication administration, and neonatal monitoring required
- Level III/IV NICU experience and high-risk delivery attendance preferred
- Experience with ventilators, CPAP, high-frequency ventilation, and PICC/UVC/UAC lines preferred
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Perform neonatal resuscitation, respiratory support, feeding tube placement, IV/central line care, and blood draws
- Administer phototherapy, medications, and infusions while managing thermoregulation for critically ill neonates
- Ideal candidates are calm under pressure, compassionate, detail-oriented, team-focused, and adaptable
- Effective communication with families is essential
- Royal blue scrub attire required
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
