Operating within our state-of-the-art, designated Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will collaborate with board-certified neonatologists and 24/7 neonatal nurse practitioners to provide comprehensive life-saving care. This includes managing high-risk prematurity, complex respiratory therapies, advanced nutritional support, and specialized newborn stabilization, alongside supporting dedicated neonatal transport team operations. - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for both NICU and Newborn Nursery patients.
- Perform detailed clinical neonatal assessments, including specialized gestational age evaluations.
- Meet all practice criteria for Level II and Level III NICUs while managing assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
- Participate in mandatory unit education and ongoing activities to measure, assess, and improve patient care standards.
- Support the provision of services by participating in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures.
- Facilitate the patient discharge process, including vital education and teaching for parents.
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
- Current BLS, and NRP issued from American Heart Association required
- STABLE certification preferred.
- 1 year of clinical NICU, Neonatal ICU experience as a licensed RN in a hospital required.
