Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location Pasadena, TX

Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule 07:00 - 19:00, on-call required including one weekend a month.

Job Description The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to surgical patients in a multi-specialty environment. The RN will work closely with surgical teams, utilizing necessary skills and knowledge to deliver effective patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Responsibilities Assist in performing surgeries including open, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures. Provide patient education and emotional support to surgical patients and families. Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes in condition during surgeries. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Document all relevant patient information and surgical outcomes accurately in EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting. Experience in Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, GYN. BSN preferred; candidates without a BSN may be considered based on experience. Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.
