Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including critically ill and premature infants. Delivers high-quality, compassionate care while supporting families and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor neonatal patients to ensure their immediate and ongoing needs are met effectively.
- Administer medications, ventilator support, and perform neonatal resuscitation as required.
- Manage IV lines, central lines, and other invasive devices with precision and adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate and communicate with families, offering emotional support and updates on patient progress.
- Document care activities accurately within the EMR system, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active RN license with current BLS and NRP certification.
- Demonstrate recent NICU experience, including neonatal respiratory support and line management.
- Possess competency in neonatal procedures such as thermoregulation, phototherapy, and medication administration.
- Show ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Prefer candidates with Level III/IV NICU experience and high-risk delivery attendance.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, compassion, and attention to detail.
