Position: QA/QC Inspector (Onsite: Pasadena, TX)

Overview

The QA/QC Inspector under direct supervision, responsible for performing quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions.

Pay and Assignment
  • Pay Rate: Up to $26.00/hour, depending on experience
  • Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift

    Schedule:

  • 7 days on from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, followed by 7 days off
  • 7 nights on from 6:00 pm - 6:00 am, followed by 3 days off
  • 4 short nights on from 8:00 pm - 6:00 am, followed by 7 days off
Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough inspections of various operational activities to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Detect and report any deviations from known standards using a variety of measuring and testing methods.
  • Execute final adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards.
  • Compile detailed reports on conditions observed during inspections, and promptly notify operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of any significant issues.
  • Conduct magnetic particle and penetrant testing of parts, and initiate and process non-conformance reports as required.
  • Ensure that all products and processes meet the desired levels of quality, safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelors degree in chemistry or related field (i.e. biochem, chemical engineering) is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required. Preferably, candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related industry.
  • Proficient in multitasking and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Fundamental understanding of chemistry.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively.
  • Receptive to constructive criticism and feedback.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others.
