Assistant Laboratory Manager - AmSpec LLC, Pasadena, Texas

Coordinating and scheduling lab assignments to lab technicians and supervisors - overseeing all analytical testing work. Receiving, compiling, and verifying the data resulting from lab testing. Responsible for documenting and maintaining accurate records for all customer samples. Analyzing and compiling quality control sample results to ensure operating efficiency of process and/ or testing equipment. Providing training to laboratory analysts. Act as liaison between laboratory technicians and Lab.

Manager as well as between laboratory technicians and Operations. Preparing corrective and preventative action reports for all matters relating to QA/QC and keeping all records for review. Following up on non-conformances, investigative preventative action, and implement appropriate corrective actions. Responsible for achieving revenue and budget performance goals and for personnel staffing levels and Performing other related duties as required and assigned.

REQUIREMENTS ARE:

Bachelor's degree in Biology 2 years of experience with QC Plus Software (QA/QC Software); 2 years of experience with equipment troubleshooting and testing required: ICP, GCMS, GC, HPLC, IP, AA, FTIR & UV Vis.; 2 years of experience with Octane Testing & Maintenance using a CFR Engine; 2 years of experience with AIMS Navarik software for operational purposes (Sample log & Reports);

2 years experience utilizing ASTM Methods for Petroleum testing as well as ISO 8217 Requirements; 2 years following ISO 9001 QMS; 2 years experience with petroleum testing;
Must be available on call including weekends and holidays. Requires 10% domestic travel 5 days/40hrs/wk; $66,/year.
