Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector - Weekend Day Shift

Job Overview

The Quality Inspector effectively performs all inspections with limited supervision, requiring troubleshooting and math skills.

• Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections on a variety of parts.
• Work to a dimensional tolerance as small as .0005”.
• Read and interpret dimensional, manufacturing engineering, and process drawings to conduct dimensional and surface checks of angles, holes, spacing, contours, tapers, bores, diameters, threads, radii, forms, bearing surfaces, and points of intersection.
• Utilize precision measuring devices such as inside, outside, and depth micrometers, vernier calipers, electronic gauges, comparators, and hardness testers.
• Understand basic programming and operation of programmable inspection instruments such as coordinate measuring machines.
• Prepare shippers and package inspected parts for shipment to other locations or outside service as required.
• Perform prescribed material conformance tests for material identification as required.
• Instruct and assist other inspectors.
• May perform Nuclear-Aircraft-Government (NAG) inspection after fulfilling internal qualification requirements.
• Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies.
• Report unsafe conditions.
• Complete proper labor and time reports.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant inspection or subordinate work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Ability to understand and solve technical problems.
• Zeiss certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer operation, medium to advanced mathematics, and SPC methodology.

Weekend day shift hours: Friday‑Sunday 6am – 6pm (12‑hour shift)
