QC Field TechFull Time Pasadena, TX, US
DescriptionWe are seeking to hire a qualified Quality Control Technician to support quality assurance and quality control activities for construction and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate must possess a current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification and have experience performing inspections in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections of welding, fabrication, and construction activities.
- Verify compliance with approved WPSs, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Review and maintain quality documentation, including weld logs, MTRs, inspection reports, and test records.
- Coordinate and monitor NDE activities.
- Conduct field inspections and provide timely reporting of quality issues and corrective actions.
- Support hydrostatic testing, material traceability, and final turnover documentation.
- Communicate effectively with project management, construction personnel, clients, and subcontractors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification (required).
- Experience in industrial, pipeline, fabrication, or construction quality control.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASME and AWS requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
