Laboratory Technician Job Description

This position provides critical support to the Crude Oil Laboratory by performing routine analytical testing and maintaining high standards of data integrity and safety.

• Conducting routine analyses on crude oil, base oils, lube oils, and petrochemical samples.
• Accurately entering all results and observations into the laboratory LIMS system.
• Adhering to all safety procedures and following proper laboratory SOPs.
• Monitoring and maintaining laboratory inventory to ensure adequate supplies and smooth daily operations.

A.S. or B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.

• Must have completed at least one in‑person laboratory course (preferably chemistry‑focused).
• Must be able and willing to stand for 12‑hour shifts.
• Must be able to commit to rotating or extended shift schedules.
• Must be comfortable working in an oil & gas laboratory environment.

Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Pasadena, TX.
