Salary and Commission
Hourly wage $10.00 to $14.00 per hour. Commission up to 8% on transactions, potentially adding an average of $3.23 per hour on top of base rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions while handling a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures
- Makes the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise display
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Answers incoming calls per company standards
- Communicates to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience
- Successfully completes the assigned training
- Other related duties as assigned
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting)
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from external storage areas
- Minimum age 18 years
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, collaborate, and be team‑oriented
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficient in basic math calculations
- Cash handling experience preferred
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate
- Must work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines
The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
