$10.00 to $14.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.01 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business, greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. Successful candidates will work with a variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
  • Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles cash and negotiable items per established policies.
  • Answers incoming calls to company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Collaborates with coworkers and managers, showing respect and effective communication.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
  • Completes assigned training.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform extended standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • Ability to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic math calculation proficiency.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Willing to work multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed plan information will be provided during the interview.

Additional Information

Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage.
