Turner Industries Group, LLC. is seeking a Sales Associate to join our Crane and Heavy Equipment team in the Pasadena, TX area. This role is responsible for developing and following up on customer relationships to expand and grow Turner's crane and heavy equipment rental business in the Southeast Texas area.
Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities- Make "cold calls" as required in the designated area or per Marketing/Sales Manager.
- Travel for sales calls in other states; available for overnight travel.
- Execute business development action plans for defined targets.
- Monitor sales activities and adjust to market changes as necessary.
- Represent one segment of the company in a specialized market (if assigned).
- Develop and identify prospects from current clients, referral leads, and other sources.
- Lead and participate in presentations to clients.
- Establish and maintain effective contact with clients.
- Plan and attend industry trade and convention shows when requested.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Strategic Marketing Plan and department sales objectives.
- Provide input and feedback on issues relevant to client programs, work in progress, marketing initiatives, and sales assistance.
- Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sale.
- Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential market trends.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports: daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolve customer complaints: investigate problems, develop solutions, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
- Position is highly visible to potential customers and requires the ability to influence/persuade.
- Combination of education and experience to have a good working knowledge of the language used in relevant markets.
- Minimum 5 years of related industry experience.
- Must possess excellent and effective communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Effective presentation skills in front of an audience.
- Must understand the sales process and be able to close sales.
- Customer service oriented.
- Motivated to meet sales goals and other goals of the Company.
- Prospecting skills and self-confidence.
- Product and service offering knowledge.
- Motivation to be in sales.
- Post‑offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
