The Branch Sales Associate will be the face of our branch, providing exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and support to HVAC/R professionals and contractors. You will greet customers, process orders, maintain inventory, offer technical support, and uphold safety protocols. The role includes performance‑based bonuses and occasional travel for training and professional development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on HVAC/R products and supplies.
- Accurately process customer orders, handle payments, and manage invoicing and documentation.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of HVAC/R product inventory, specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
- Monitor and replenish stock, conduct inventory counts, and report discrepancies.
- Assist customers in troubleshooting technical issues related to HVAC/R equipment.
- Follow safety protocols, keep the counter area clean and organized.
- Complete paperwork for transactions, including invoices, returns, and warranty claims.
- Occasionally travel to training sessions, meetings, or other work‑related activities.
- Prior experience in customer service.
- Leadership experience with profit and loss responsibility is preferred.
- Experience leading people in a retail environment.
- Demonstrated ability to grow sales in a retail setting.
- Experience building and maintaining cross‑functional relationships.
- Analytical skills to use customer, market, and competitor data for decision‑making.
- Experience working with HVAC contractors.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Team‑player with willingness to collaborate.
- Ability to function at an above‑average level in a technical environment.
- Experience using sales and/or inventory management systems.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
Associate’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred. - Experience managing in a B2B environment in distribution or wholesale sales (preferred but not required).
- Excellent relationship‑building skills; must be a team builder as well as a team player with a focus on sales.
