Build Relationships. Drive Growth. Launch Your Career.

Are you a motivated professional looking to build a long-term career in sales and account management? Do you enjoy developing relationships, solving customer challenges, and learning highly technical products and markets?

Mitsubishi Chemical America's Specialty Resins Division is seeking an Account Representative to join our commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who wants to learn the business from the ground up, develop strong customer relationships, and grow into a strategic commercial leader.

Whether you're an early-career professional or have experience in customer-facing, technical, or commercial roles, we provide the training, mentorship, and development needed to succeed.

What You'll Do

As an Account Representative, you'll be responsible for supporting and growing a portfolio of existing customer accounts while identifying opportunities for future growth.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Manage and develop relationships with existing customer accounts and distribution partners
  • Support a portfolio of small-to-medium-sized accounts generating significant annual revenue
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives
  • Collaborate with Technical Service and R&D teams to support new products and emerging markets
  • Provide customers with technical information, product updates, and responsive support
  • Negotiate pricing adjustments and maintain customer agreements
  • Maintain customer data, opportunities, and market intelligence within Salesforce
  • Prepare sales forecasts and communicate customer needs to internal stakeholders
  • Participate in customer visits, industry events, and trade shows
  • Assist in resolving customer issues related to product availability, service, and account management
  • Develop knowledge of competitive products, industry trends, and market developments
What to Expect

This role is designed to set you up for long-term success.

During your first several months, you'll focus on learning our products, customers, and business operations while working alongside experienced commercial and technical professionals. After training, you'll begin traveling with senior sales team members and gradually assume greater responsibility for customer relationships.

Our goal is to develop future commercial leaders who understand both the technical and business aspects of our industry.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred (Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, "take initiative" mindset
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to build a long-term career and grow within the organization
  • Strong business acumen and customer-focused approach
  • Comfortable learning technical products and applications
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM systems is a plus

Industry experience is not required—we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong potential, curiosity, and a desire to learn.

Travel & Work Environment
  • Approximately 50% travel following initial training
  • Primarily domestic travel with occasional international opportunities
  • Collaborative team environment with significant opportunities for professional growth
