Job Description
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Valve Sales Representative to join our team. This position is crafted for someone with prior experience in the valve industry who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building customer relationships while ensuring accuracy in quotes and orders. You’ll play a key role in supporting our customers and the outside sales team with technical and commercial solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the internal point of contact for customers, managing inquiries related to valves and automation.
- Prepare and follow up on quotes, proposals, and technical submittals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through consistent communication and service.
- Work closely with vendors to source materials, confirm delivery timelines, and negotiate terms when needed.
- Participate in product and sales training to improve technical knowledge.
- Cultivate specific valve product awareness with your other inside sales colleagues.
- Enter and manage customer orders, ensuring proper pricing, availability, terms, and lead times.
- Support outside sales representatives by generating quotes, tracking leads, and providing background research.
- Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, order status updates, and communication logs.
- Assist in resolving order discrepancies, returns, or quality concerns professionally and promptly.
- 5+ years of inside sales experience for valves, either in an industrial, distribution, or manufacturing environment, preferably with focus on mid- and downstream customers.
- Strong affinity with engineering, drawings, quality management.
- Relevant experience in project handling.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of Valves.
- Proven experience managing quotes, purchase orders, and customer interactions.
