Clean Harbors in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean‑up, site‑remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.
* Note this position requires new hires to attend our two‑week Academy training out of state. Paid training, expenses are covered by the company.

- Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
- Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
- Work in various temperatures and weather conditions.
- Work in atmospheres with potential exposure to chemicals or physical agents.
- Work in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, and low‑clearance areas.
- Work at elevations, including ladders and scaffolding.
- Assist in field sampling activities and meter calibration.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, and containers such as trucks and tanks.
- Work extended periods (>8 hrs).
- Attend all compliance and safety update meetings.
- Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Safely load and unload hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
- Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.
- Follow local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
- Safely operate vehicles per U.S. DOT and local regulations.
- Observe corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
- Observe company environmental health and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
- Hand the handling of hazardous materials (site‑remediation, equipment decontamination).
Required Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks.
- Agreement to be on‑call for emergency response, including weekends and holidays.
- Success in background check, drug test, and physical exam.
- Meet facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection standard.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
