Industrial Civil Construction Contractor specializing in structural concrete and sitework/earthwork looking for Multicraft Personnel - Carpenters, Rodbusters & Concrete Finishers.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Superintendent/Foreman a Rodbuster will hoist and place all required reinforcing, including rebar, wire mesh and post tension using Rodbuster's hand tools conforming to construction documents including ship drawings, bar tags and cut sheets.

Responsibilities and Duties

Participates in the execution and completion of Finisher work, including the following duties:

• Installs Rebar for Foundations:
  • Places rebar in wall footings, grade beams, column footings, caps and footing steps.
  • Installs rebar templates, embeds and anchor bolts.
  • Offloads and packs rebar to appropriate location.
  • Installs all appropriate accessories to support rebar in its correct location.
• Installs Wall and Column Rebar:
  • Installs various sizes of rebar in walls and columns.
  • Pre-ties rebar for walls and columns when appropriate.
  • Installs mechanical splices, anchors, and embeds for miscellaneous metals in correct locations.
  • Installs all required accessories to support and hold rebar in final location.
  • Offloads and packs rebar to appropriate location
• Installs reinforcing and post tension for structural deck
  • Installs various rebar elements for the structural deck including rebar, wire mesh and post tension systems.
  • Pre-Ties reinforcing when cost effective
  • Installs all required accessories to support and hold reinforcing in final location.
  • Stresses post tension at required time to meet appropriate design criteria thru proper use of tensioning equipment.
  • Burns post tension cable ends off once approved.
• Places reinforcing for slab-on-grade (SOG):
  • Installs all required reinforcing for the SOG including rebar, wire mesh, and post tensioning
  • Installs all required accessories to support and hold reinforcing in final location
  • Installs load transfer dowels when required
  • Stresses post tension at required time to meet appropriate design criteria through proper use of tensioning equipment.
  • Burns post tension cable ends off once approved
  • Offloads and packs reinforcing to appropriate location
• Places reinforcing ofr tilt-up and precast concrete:
  • Installs all required reinforcing for Tilt-up and Precast; this includes rebar, embeds, and wire mesh.
  • Installs all required accessories to support and hold reinforcing in final location.
  • Offloads and packs reinforcing to appropriate location

Qualified Candidate:

• Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather and working conditions. Must be willing to assume the physical risks of working in an outdoor environment which includes but is not limited to traffic, construction equipment, extreme heat and/or cold and wildlife.
• Must have ability to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to pass hair follicle drug screen and background check.
