Mechanic
The Mechanic position supports the branch, and client, in all maintenance and repair of industrial equipment needs. This position ensures that all rental equipment maintenance and repair needs of the branch is conducted in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. This role provides a great opportunity to learn and grow within our service department and beyond.
Requirements:
- 3 years' experience as a Mechanic is required.
- Must be mechanically inclined with mechanical background and some knowledge of the following engines:
John Deere, Volvo, Kohler, Yanmar, Deutz, Perkins, Caterpillar. - Must be able to travel locally and regionally, work overtime, and be on a rotating on call schedule.
- Must have a valid state driver's license with a moderately clean driving record.
- Must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs.
- Knowledge of tier 4 engines and the use of Service Advisor and Diesel Laptops a plus.
Primary Duties:
- Performs maintenance and repairs of pumps and other equipment in both the shop and in the field.
- Act as a liaison between customers, and other departments of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment maintenance and repair.
- Trouble shoot all rental equipment for most efficient way to get equipment back online.
- Maintain professional and ethical business relationships with all customers and co-workers following the established company policies and procedures.
- Produce all required service tickets and/or documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
- Communicates with team for coordinating delivery and pickup of parts, equipment, and accessories.
- Be an ambassador for safety, making sure all work is done in the safest manner.
- Continuous growth of knowledge for all Company products, inventory, and delivery capabilities
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
