GEA Group is searching for an experienced Field Service Technician Team Lead to join our Midwest Team. The ideal candidate would reside around the Houston or Oklahoma area.

• Create an inspiring team environment with a culture of open communication.
• Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
• Delegate tasks and set deadlines.
• Identify training needs and provide coaching.
• Actively listen to team members’ feedback and resolve issues/conflicts, with branch manager’s support when needed.
• Perform field service duties as a specialist and handle all Field Service Technician III tasks, in addition to:
  • Provide troubleshooting support to improve machinery operation for plant/refinery operation.
  • Train customers on equipment operation.
  • Mentor junior technicians with on-the-job training and provide the branch manager with performance feedback.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and respond to customer requests and field dispatches.
  • Meet with customers on site to review service or repair needs.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for compressor packages, electrical & control systems, and refrigeration systems.
  • Retrofit industrial control panels across multiple manufacturers.
  • Complete routine maintenance or repair per ANSI/IIAR-6 2019, as applicable.
  • Inspect machinery to confirm proper operation and provide preventative maintenance suggestions.
  • Discuss work completed with customers and submit time sheets, expense reports, service tickets, and other required paperwork within the required timeframe.
  • Provide after-hours telephone troubleshooting support.
  • Train customers on equipment operation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required
• Technical school certification in refrigeration or related field preferred
• ANSI / IIAR-6 certification required or must obtain within 1 year
• RETA CIRO Certification preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial refrigeration
• Ability to read P&IDs and electrical schematics
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Knowledge of major components of refrigeration systems
• Advanced knowledge of screw and piston type compressors and their packages
• Advanced working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and control schemes
• Advanced working knowledge of industrial control panels
• Ability to act as trainer/mentor to junior field service technicians
• Ability to travel up to 90% of the time

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $56.00 - $67.00 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
