Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency, repair, and preventative maintenance on rotating mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, agitators, vacuum pumps, and blowers.
• Perform equipment lubrication as required.
• Read blueprints, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Plan and schedule work by coordinating with other maintenance technicians.
• Enter completed work orders into the SAP system.
• Maintain department and plant safety performance.
• Follow federal, state, corporate, and plant environmental standards.
• Stock spare parts as needed.
• Participate in required safety and technical training.
• Participate in call-ins, weekend duty, and overtime as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with rotating mechanical equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately follow procedures.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
• Ability to comply with company, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift at least 50 pounds, perform elevated work, and work in all weather conditions.
