Role Description

The Marine Laborer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area, working primarily in marine and dockside environments. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with vessel docking and undocking, loading and unloading materials, handling lines and mooring equipment, and performing basic maintenance and cleanup on docks, barges, and vessels. The role involves operating or assisting with marine equipment under supervision, following safety protocols, and complying with environmental and regulatory requirements.

The Marine Laborer will work closely with supervisors and crew members, support general marine operations as assigned, and may be required to work varied hours, including weekends or evenings, depending on operational needs.

Qualifications
  • Applicant must be local to the Beaumont-Port Arthur region.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Comfort working in marine and industrial environments, including on docks, barges, and vessels, with strict adherence to safety procedures.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the use of marine tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Reliable work habits, punctuality, and the ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness to identify and report safety hazards or equipment issues.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in marine, construction, or industrial labor is an advantage but not required.
  • Ability to pass any required safety training, certifications, and employer-mandated screenings.
