Field Service Technicians (Lvl
2) - $150 Per Diem + Hotel

Field Service Technicians at Aerotek play a vital role in installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting custom-engineered electrical equipment for energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure clients nationwide. This position involves extensive travel, hands-on work with electrical and mechanical systems, and collaboration with engineering and shop teams. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-focused, and comfortable working in both field and production shop environments.

What You’ll Need
  • At least 7 years of industrial field service experience in electrical and mechanical systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on electrical experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring layouts
  • Experience installing and terminating mechanical and electrical components (switch gear, control panels, breakers, power systems, transformers, MCCs)
  • Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, phase testers)
  • Capability to reverse engineer problems and develop solutions in the field
  • Experience preparing field reports and documentation
  • Willingness to travel nationwide for varying durations, including trips up to a month
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical components
  • Comfort in client‑facing roles and clear communication skills
  • Valid TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • NFPA 70E certification
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced production shops and large industrial sites
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Required attire: steel‑toe footwear, jeans, work shirt, and safety glasses
