Field Service Technicians (Lvl
2) - $150 Per Diem + Hotel
- Up to $32/hr

Field Service Technicians at Aerotek play a vital role in installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting custom-engineered electrical equipment for energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure clients nationwide. This position involves extensive travel, hands-on work with electrical and mechanical systems, and collaboration with engineering and shop teams. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-focused, and comfortable working in both field and production shop environments.

- At least 7 years of industrial field service experience in electrical and mechanical systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on electrical experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring layouts
- Experience installing and terminating mechanical and electrical components (switch gear, control panels, breakers, power systems, transformers, MCCs)
- Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, phase testers)
- Capability to reverse engineer problems and develop solutions in the field
- Experience preparing field reports and documentation
- Willingness to travel nationwide for varying durations, including trips up to a month
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical components
- Comfort in client‑facing roles and clear communication skills
- Valid TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- NFPA 70E certification
- Ability to work in fast‑paced production shops and large industrial sites
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Required attire: steel‑toe footwear, jeans, work shirt, and safety glasses
- Experience coordinating with engineers, sales, and customer service to relay technical issues and customer needs
- Demonstrated commitment to safety in both field and shop environments
