Framer Carpenter

Work Horse General Contractors, an established construction company based in Pasadena, TX, is seeking an experienced Framer / Carpenter Multi-Trade Technician to join our team.

We are looking for a well-rounded construction professional with hands‑on framing and carpentry experience who is also willing to assist with other trades and general construction work as needed.

The primary focus of this position is framing and carpentry, including wood and metal stud framing, doors, trim, blocking, repairs, and general carpentry work. This is not strictly a framing position. The ideal candidate is versatile, comfortable using tools, and willing to assist with drywall, painting, flooring, demolition, and other construction tasks when needed.

Applicants must be willing and able to travel as needed based on project location. Company-required travel expenses, including lodging, are covered by Work Horse General Contractors.

• Perform wood and metal stud framing
• Measure, lay out, cut, and assemble framing materials
• Frame walls, openings, partitions, and other structures
• Install blocking and backing as required
• Install and repair doors, frames, trim, and hardware
• Perform basic rough and finish carpentry
• Install shelving, cabinets, fixtures, and other building components
• Perform general carpentry repairs and modifications
• Assist with demolition and renovation work
• Assist drywall, painting, flooring, and other trades as needed
• Complete general construction and punch‑list items
• Safely operate common hand and power tools
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
• Work independently on assigned tasks and alongside other trades on larger projects

• 3+ years of professional framing, carpentry, or related construction experience preferred
• Experience with wood and/or metal stud framing preferred
• Ability to accurately measure, lay out, cut, and assemble materials
• Experience with doors, trim, hardware, cabinets, or general carpentry is a plus
• Drywall, painting, flooring, or other construction trade experience is a plus
• Comfortable assisting with work outside of framing and carpentry when needed
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be willing and able to travel for out-of-town projects
• Flexibility to work varying schedules based on project requirements
• Reliable and dependable

$20–$25 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skill level.

Company-required travel expenses and lodging are covered for out-of-town projects.
