Overview
Seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join a Chemical company near the Pasadena, Texas area.
Responsibilities- The Logistics Coordinator shall maintain, make ready and dispatch all necessary equipment and consumables required to accomplish a specific scope of work and on an ad-hoc basis, globally. This role involves coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory records, and communicating with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to optimize logistics processes.
- Ensure that reservoir equipment is in good working order and readily available to meet individual job requirements
- Repair, replace and maintain as and when necessary
- Select and prepare consumables and equipment to meet individual project needs under the direction of others
- Arrange international and domestic shipping of equipment and products, including dangerous goods
- Following the direction of other staff, select specific consumables and equipment to meet specific project requirements and prepare for shipment
- Securely package and load materials onto vehicles for delivery to various project sites
- Prepare all necessary labels, packaging and paperwork in order to safely transport materials and equipment some of which may be dangerous goods
- Manage receipt of raw materials and pull samples for QA/QC checks
- Handle returned consumables to ensure accurate stock levels are known
- Oversee consumable storage, both onsite and offsite, and arrange deliveries between offsite, onsite, project sites and other operational facilities
- Prepare chemical consumables in suitable forms as and when necessary to meet specific project needs
- Identify, establish and maintain relationships with transport couriers, etc.
- Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times
- Post High School education such as some College education, an Associate degree level qualification or Certification in Industrial, Technical or Electronics related fields
- 13 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination.
- Solid work history
- Proven technical and mechanical aptitude
- Safety conscious attitude
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
