Description SAIC is seeking an Engineer Technician for shipboard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5
ISR) major systems. This program will be part of a transformative venture, driving the future of next generation afloat mission effectiveness in response to evolving strategic and environmental demands.
Job Duties:
* Assist with the planning, development, and execution of stage 4 and 5 test procedures development and test execution for shipboard C5
ISR systems.
* Utilizes specialized test equipment to complete C5
ISR Stage 4 and Stage 5 testing.
* Works with the multidisciplinary technical team supporting engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of C5
ISR systems.
* Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts using Autocad and PDF formats to perform testing, checkout and trouble shooting functions.
* Prepares engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics). Qualifications Required
Education and Experience:
* AA Degree in related discipline and three (3) years or more relevant experience with one or more shipboard C5
ISR systems: radio communication racks, Interior Communications(Alarm/Saferty/Warning), shipboard CGOne/Unclass/SIPRNET LANs, Surface Search Radar, Navigation Distribution system, Integrated Bridge System Or, High School and five (5) years related experience with relevant certification. Required Security Clearance and
Certifications:
* Must have an active Secret clearance on first day of employment.
* Familiar with utilizing C4
ISR/C5
ISR Interface Control Documents, Block diagrams, and Functional Interface Drawings. Desired
Skills:
* Experience with MIL-STD-2106 Development of Shipboard Industrial Test procedures.
* Prior experience utilizing Autocad.
* Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IA Level II - Security+ certification, or CSSIP, Network+, A+ or equivalent. Desired/Key C3

* Integrated Bridge System.
* Gyro compass (e.g., WSN-7).
* Surface Search Radars (e.g., AN/SPY-6, SPS-series).
* UHF, HF, VHF Marine Radios.

* Shipboard Alarms and Interior Communications (Safety, Warning Systems).
* Fathometer and Depth Sounding Systems.
* Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
* Sonar Mission System (SMS).
* Extremely High Frequency (EHF) Communications.
* NIPRNET, SIPRNET, SI LAN.
