Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Utilizes computer‑aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as CAD, CAM or Ship Constructor. Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposals.
Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups to ensure ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and compliance with contractual specifications.
Must Have- High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of experience
- or
- Associate’s Degree or other 2‑year technical degree in a related discipline and 0 years experience
Candidate should be proficient in utilization of Ship Constructor and AutoCAD for the purpose of supporting design and extraction/development of new drawings or Siemens NX for generating VWI – Virtual Work Instructions.
