The RoleResearches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Knowledge:
Uses technical principles, theories, and concepts. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform professional tasks.
Problem Solving:
Develops recommended solutions to technical problems as assigned.
Discretion/Latitude:
Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Works under general supervision.
Impact:
Contributes to the completion of assigned technical tasks. Failure to achieve results should be detected in supervisory oversight.
Liaison:
Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the section or group.
- 0 years experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field
- Ability to read basic electrical blueprints
- Shipboard experience and proficiency with AutoCAD design software
