Designer - FSE Naval

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Designer 4 - FSE Naval for a contract opportunity in Pascagoula, MS.

• Associate's degree or other 2‑year technical degree in a related discipline and 6 years experience
• Must be proficient in Auto Cad 2018 2D Design
• Must possess a full understanding of Planning Yard Naval Design (Structure, Foundations and Outfitting)

• Design components or portions of systems and modify existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations
• Utilize computer‑aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as CAD, CAM or CATIA
• Gather information, make studies, compute calculations, and prepare original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposals
• Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications
• Exclude classifications in which incumbents predominantly perform drafting assignments

• Prior knowledge of Planning Yard processes and procedures and how this organization functions

• Associate's degree or other 2‑year technical degree in a related discipline

Full‑time 5/40, workweek 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift.
