Job DescriptionA well established and growing full service architecture and engineering firm with decades of experience serving clients across the Southeast is looking to add a hands-on Electrical Engineer to their building systems group. This is a team that cares about their people and gives engineers a real path toward taking ownership of their own projects.
What You'll Do:
- Draft and design electrical systems yourself in AutoCAD and/or Revit, this is a hands-on role, not a design review position
- Build out power distribution systems and electrical one-lines
- Handle lighting design, fire alarm layout, and low voltage systems, along with panel schedules
- Run lighting calculations, load calculations, and branch circuiting
- Draft specifications and construction documents for active projects
- Collaborate closely with architects and mechanical/structural engineers to keep designs code compliant
- Contribute to a steady mix of education, government, and commercial projects
- Stay involved from early design all the way through construction support
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Hands-on AutoCAD skills are required, Revit MEP knowledge is a plus
- Direct experience designing power, lighting, fire alarm, or low voltage systems
- Background in K-12, education, government, or institutional projects is a big plus
- 5kV or 15kV medium voltage design experience is a strong plusPE, EIT, or FE licensure, or a genuine interest in pursuing a PE, is a plus but not required
- Solid understanding of NEC and local code requirements
