The Senior System Administrator, internally known as Senior Analyst, based in Stennis, MS position is on Stennis Space Center. Information Workplace Services collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
What You Will Do:
- Support a Raytheon program in a classified environment as a System Administrator.
- Monitor and support systems that are operational 24x7 and which occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
- This position is 8x5 with after-hours call-in responsibility.
- Collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.
- Monitor and maintain system health and security posture, directly supporting customer mission-critical capabilities.
- Work closely with program developers and system engineers to research issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions to system problems.
- Serve as a help desk team member in a customer-facing environment, so the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with other teams and with the customer is of utmost importance.
- Work effectively with frequent and direct customer interaction in a real-time operational environment.
- Work under pressure in restoring high priority systems back to operations.
- This position is 100% onsite in Stennis, MS.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years or prior relevant experience.
- Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- By start date must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional
Certifications:
Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND. - Experience with VMWare or Linux Systems.
- Experience with tape libraries.
- Experience configuring domain information utilities, such as Active Directory, Centrify, LDAP, and DNS.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Veritas tape libraries and/or Hitachi VSPs experience.
- Ability to navigate, debug, and modify programs in an advanced programming language.
- Experience with storage products from Oracle, Dell/EMC (e.g., Isilon/Power Scale), and/or Net App.
- Experience presenting technical information to customers, clients, and/or internal audiences.
- Experience configuring domain information utilities, such as Active Directory, Centrify, LDAP, and DNS.
- Strong background and experience troubleshooting and debugging applications.
- A thorough understanding of operating system concepts such as swapping and paging, inter-process communication, and devices and device drivers.
