The Role

Develops and implements testing and inspection procedures. Tests raw material, chemicals, and/or finished product to quality controls to ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations. Audits testing results to determine if product specifications are met. Advises operating units on quality control standards for raw materials, chemicals, packaging materials, and finished products. Recommends corrective action where necessary and develops plant quality control manuals.

Must

Have
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or OR HS/GED plus a minimum of 10 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience.
  • Master's degree and 4 years relevant experience.
Nice to Have
  • Read a blueprint, a bridge cam gauge, and a v-wac.
  • Work indoors/outdoors year round in all weather conditions.
  • Have a thorough understanding of ship construction, manufacturing processes, budget, and operations.
  • Work at extreme heights or small confined spaces.
  • Be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb.
  • Pass Physical Agility Test.
  • Have knowledge of Command Media Policies & Procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office:
    Power Point & Excel.
