Description:
Lays out and fabricates metal structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, and frames, and braces them in position within hull of ship for welding.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as 1st class ship fitter
- Outfitting experience
- Must know Ship terminology
- Must read blue prints to lay out and fabricate parts for ships
- Must be able to burn and bevel with hand torch
- Must pass fillet weld test using 7018 rods
- Must pass drug test and E-Verify
- Must be able to work all shifts
Effective on the 1st day of the month following your 60th day of continuous employment.
