Overview
QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR A — General Function:
Pipe Inspection includes, but not limited to in-process, in-bound, and final inspections of manufactured products to ensure compliance with quality standards, owner specifications, ABS and or USCG requirements.
- Inspects parts, products and/or processes to insure conformance with standards, specifications or regulations.
- Conducts tests to verify specified dimensions, strengths and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Completes inspection records and reports.
- Sets up inspections by ABS and U.S. Coast Guard based on regulations.
- High School diploma with 5-10 years of broad shipyard experience in various craft areas required.
- Certification in quality control is preferred.
