• Perform abrasive blasting using approved industrial equipment and techniques
• Prepare metal surfaces through sanding, grinding, masking, and cleaning for optimal coating adhesion
• Apply marine and industrial coatings with advanced spray equipment to meet quality and thickness specifications
• Inspect blast profiles and coating coverage to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Identify and correct surface defects, ensuring finished work meets stringent shipyard standards
• Set up, operate, and maintain blasting and painting equipment, including air hoses and spray systems
• Maintain tools and workspace in top condition, adhering to safety protocols and production schedules
• Work safely in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions while wearing required PPE

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Painter/Blaster in marine or industrial settings
• Proficient in abrasive blasting, marine coatings, surface prep, and airless spray application
• Experienced in reading and following technical work instructions and specifications
• Demonstrated ability to measure coating thickness and repair surface defects
• Capable of physically demanding shipyard work, including lifting, climbing, and extended shifts

• Experience with industrial painting in confined spaces
• Skilled in operating power tools and rust machines
• Familiarity with coating thickness measurement using mil gauge
