We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer II to join our team. This position will support all phases of the construction process from preconstruction and estimating to active construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial construction across all phases and possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for the construction industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities *- Collaborate with the preconstruction and estimating teams to develop accurate project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Assist in conducting site visits and evaluating project requirements.
- Utilize construction software and tools to assist in the preparation of bids and estimates.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential issues and value engineering opportunities.
- Assist in obtaining subcontractor and vendor quotes and maintain a comprehensive cost database.
- Support project managers in coordinating project activities, including procurement, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Assist in preparing and submitting project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Participate in project meetings and provide timely updates on project status and progress.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for efficiency gains and process enhancements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on construction sites.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, project management, or business administration
- 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry, with exposure to preconstruction and estimating preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and construction management software such as Autodesk or Bluebeam.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Possess the right to work and remain in the US without sponsorship.
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record
