Construction Manager
We are seeking an experienced Construction Engineer / Construction Manager to oversee the on-site installation and execution of large-scale industrial projects. This role is responsible for managing installation activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules and budgets, and ensuring successful project delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial construction, project management, and material handling or automation systems.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate all on-site installation activities for assigned projects.
- Oversee subcontractor scope, schedules, and daily performance throughout project execution.
- Deliver installation projects on time and within budget while meeting quality and safety expectations.
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison between clients, subcontractors, and the internal project team.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop labor resource plans and quality control strategies.
- Maintain control of project scope and ensure compliance with contract requirements and project specifications.
- Identify, document, and manage scope changes while coordinating necessary change orders.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, cost reports, earned value tracking, and cost-at-completion forecasts.
- Monitor monthly project costs and proactively identify opportunities to avoid cost overruns.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure proper staffing and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track project milestones, communicate progress, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to minimize schedule or budget impacts.
- Foster strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure installation activities are completed safely and in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in construction management, project management, or industrial installation environments.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, construction methodologies, and cost control.
- Experience managing subcontractors on industrial construction projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
