The State Work Study program helps qualifying students earn money for college while gaining experience in jobs related to their academic/career goals.
Students are eligible to apply for State Work Study job postings when you meet the following criteria:
- Have demonstrated financial need based on a completed FAFSA.
- Be a resident of Washington State.
- Enroll in at least 6 (half-time) degree-required credits that are required by the degree program you are pursuing.
- Not owe a refund, repayment, or be in default in another financial aid program.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP).
Awards are based on availability of funds, individual student financial need, and position availability. Please email recruiter for additional information.
Bilingual Digital Literacy Student AssistantSupports digital literacy workshops in the Transitional Studies department se workshops are offered to Transitional Studies students as well as members of the community. The student assistant helps teach basic technology skills and supports students during hands‑on learning activities that prepare them for college, job searches, and employment success. This position also provides the student employee with leadership, communication, and technology experience while supporting student success at CBC.
Responsibilities- Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at CBC and eligible for State Work Study according to your financial aid award.
- Comfortable using computers, email, and common software programs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work respectfully with students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
- Reliable, organized, and willing to learn.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
