Front Desk Specialist

Job Location:

Pasco, WA 99301

Salary: $17.66 - $20.48 hourly. Additional $0.50/hr for bilingual staff, assessment required.

Status:
Part‑time, about 25 hours per week.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties has served over 2,200 club members annually since 1995. The Main Branch Club in Pasco, WA is a 14,000‑sq. ft. facility with a STEAM Room, Games Room, Gym, Learning Center, Stage, and Teen Room. The club’s mission focuses on Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Branch Director, the Front Desk Youth Development Professional greets members, parents, and community members, manages computer entry tracking, assists with other data entry as needed, and helps maintain a safe, fun environment. The role involves building positive relationships with youth, families, staff, and community members, ensuring the front desk area supports the club’s climate for youth development and success.

Responsibilities
  • Greet club members, parents, and visitors.
  • Ensure safe and efficient check‑in/out of club members.
  • Input member tracking into vision software.
  • Communicate with all staff efficiently and clearly.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and community members.
  • Contribute to the creation of the club’s overall climate for youth development and success.
  • Help manage program supplies and equipment.
  • Help manage the flow of program activities.
  • Help maintain organization and cleanliness of the building.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of experience working with youth.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Strong communication skills in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to remain poised, positive, and energetic in a busy work environment.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks and develop solutions to problems.
  • Bilingual (required).
  • Comfortable with basic computer skills and capable of learning a tracking software quickly.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
