QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
* Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with applicable endorsement.
* Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
* Display competency in instrumental music techniques including but not limited to woodwinds, low and high brass, percussion, piano, guitar, and string orchestra instruments
* Thorough knowledge of instrument music pedagogy
* Knowledge and understanding of the developing instrumentalist
The candidate must demonstrate commitment to student success while aligning with state requirements and the school's guiding principles, vision, and mission. The candidate must also demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for working with all students. The candidate must be willing to participate in required trainings and professional development, implement best practices that foster meaningful learning experiences, work within a system that supports student interventions, and collaborate with relevant staff members to enhance student outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
* Previous successful classroom teaching experience
* Bilingual/Biliterate
* in English/Spanish.
* Willingness to obtain certification to teach College in the High School
* Previous experience with piano as a performer and/or teacher
* Previous experience with woodwind, brass, percussion, piano, guitar, and string instruments as a performer and/or teacher
