Location: Sageview High School
Hours: 7 hours per day Monday–Friday; 4.00 on Early Release Days
Salary: $21.38 – $23.72 per hour
Salary Schedules: AA Degree – $0.50/hour extra
BA Degree: $0.75/hour extra
New Hires Are Conditional Upon Passing a Fingerprint Screening Essential Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with purchasing and receiving materials for class projects.
  • Assist with completion of daily reports, record keeping and/or maintenance of inventories.
  • Assist students who are working on equipment to complete class projects, and assignments.
  • Participate in special projects that support CTE efforts and promote CTE classes.
  • Provide exemplary customer service and responsiveness.
  • Assist in operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist with managing and maintenance of facilities.
  • Assist with reporting misconduct on school property and/or school bus route(s).l
  • Attend and complete annual required training hours for para educator certification.
  • Translate verbal and/or written information for the purpose of assisting students, district personnel, parents and/or guardians. (Bilingual only).
  • Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues.
  • Assist with supervision of students to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Support shop safety practices
  • Provide direction to students in group and/or individual activities under teacher guidance.
Non‑Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish), preferred but not required.
  • Must meet one or more of the following:
    • Associates degree (AAS, AA) or higher;
    • Earned 72 college quarter credits or 48 semester credits in college level 100 or higher courses;
    • Passing score on the Educational Testing Service (ETS) para educator assessment.
  • Prior para educator experience, college, or on‑the‑job experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with students who are special needs preferred but not required.
  • Valid First aid and/or CPR card for infants and children or willing to obtain.
  • Prior experience in a high school setting preferred but not required.
  • Valid Drivers License and transportation.
  • Prior accounting and/or inventory control, or willingness to be trained.
Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of equipment/tools used in High School courses including Robotics/CAD/Woods/Metals/Foods/Agriculture Labs.
  • Knowledge in proper use of English in both written and verbal forms, use of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records.
  • Skill in operating standard office equipment including basic computer applications.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Understand and conduct verbal and written instruction.
  • Knowledge of general cleaning supplies and usages.
  • Ability to establish a plan to address student behavior.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work effectively with staff, students and/or building guests.
  • Ability to follow safe work practices, procedures and work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality.
