New hires are conditional upon passing a fingerprint screening
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Teacher's certificate and valid Washington State Principal's credential
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated successful K-12 administrative experience;
Principal experience preferred - Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative programs, think creatively, and use collaboration to actualize ideas
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and experience working with diverse student populations
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and successfully with staff, students, patrons, and administrators
- Demonstrated leadership and experience in supervision and evaluation of staff
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgement and work well under pressure
- Experience and/or knowledge in STEM education and/or STEM initiatives
- Support and communicate district philosophy
- Knowledge and experience in improving student achievement based on state and national learning standards, school improvement plan, and all other state requirements
- Demonstrated ability to use technology to enhance instruction and classroom and school management
- Skills appropriate to manage personnel and programs, communicate effectively, utilize existing resources, engage in shared decision making, take timely action using sound judgment and solve problems
