Safety Coordinator

Job Summary

The Safety Coordinator supports and maintains a safe working environment in a production facility. This role assists with implementing and enforcing safety programs, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.

• Conduct daily safety assessments on the production floor
• Address safety questions and concerns from employees
• Investigate accidents and near misses; implement corrective actions
• Create weekly safety communications and safety incentive initiatives
• Assist with Workers’ Compensation and OSHA compliance
• Manage safety assessments, follow‑ups, and audits (HSEQ program)
• Assist with safety training, orientations, and refresher courses
• Support the Safety Committee and emergency drills
• Assist with audiograms, fit testing, and respiratory evaluations
• Coordinate with outside agencies and contractors
• Translate safety documents to Spanish as needed
• Perform administrative and other duties as assigned

• 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing facility
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
• Dependable, detail‑oriented, and professional

• Regular presence on the production floor and in an office setting
• Exposure to noise, temperature changes, wet areas, and slick floors
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform physical movements such as bending, climbing, and reaching

Pay: $27.50 per hour
