We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex public infrastructure and capital improvement projects that directly impact community growth, public safety, economic development, and quality of life.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will serve as a Project Engineer and trusted technical leader, overseeing projects from concept through construction while collaborating with public agencies, consultants, contractors, utility providers, regulatory agencies, developers, and community stakeholders.

This position supports a robust Capital Improvement Program (CIP) focused on delivering essential infrastructure projects that serve current and future community needs.

- Long-Range Infrastructure Planning Initiatives
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex public works and infrastructure projects.
- Manage capital improvement projects from concept development through construction and project closeout.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, bid packages, and contract documents.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, utility providers, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement activities, permitting efforts, and construction administration.
- Review engineering studies, technical reports, and infrastructure assessments.
- Support long-range infrastructure planning, asset management, and capital investment strategies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, environmental regulations, and public agency requirements.
- Participate in development review, utility coordination, and infrastructure planning initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff and project teams as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Seven (7)+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience, including professional-level project responsibilities.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months of hire.
- Experience supporting public works engineering, municipal infrastructure, capital improvement programs, and local government operations.
- Experience managing public agency infrastructure projects and consultant teams.
- Background in water, wastewater, transportation, traffic, stormwater, or utility engineering.
- Familiarity with public procurement, grant-funded projects, environmental compliance, and regulatory permitting.
- Experience collaborating with elected officials, public agencies, developers, consultants, and community stakeholders.
