We are seeking Certified Wastewater Plant Operators (Levels 2–4) to support the operation, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of a modern municipal wastewater treatment facility serving a rapidly growing community.
This is an outstanding opportunity for wastewater professionals seeking hands-on experience within a complex treatment environment while supporting essential public infrastructure that protects community health, water quality, and environmental resources.

The Opportunity
As a Wastewater Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in operating, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing wastewater treatment processes while ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
- Troubleshoot pumps, motors, valves, controls, instrumentation, and treatment systems.
- Collect operational data and maintain accurate logs, reports, and records.
- Monitor process performance and make operational adjustments as needed.
- Respond to alarms, operational issues, and emergency situations.
- Support regulatory compliance and permit requirements.
- Assist with facility maintenance, process improvements, and operational optimization initiatives.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures and protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Washington State Level 2 Wastewater Certification or OIT 3 Certification.
- Minimum one (1) year of wastewater treatment plant operations experience with process control responsibilities.
- Washington State Level 3 Wastewater Certification or OIT 4 Certification.
- Minimum two (2) years of wastewater treatment plant operations experience with process control responsibilities.
- Washington State Level 4 Wastewater Certification.
- Minimum two (2) years of wastewater treatment plant operations experience with process control responsibilities.
