Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team and contribute to our mission of making communities healthier. The role involves performing phlebotomy duties, specimen collection and processing, quality control, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform phlebotomy duties including venipuncture and capillary techniques using standard equipment.
- Ensure requisitions contain patient demographics and accurate billing information.
- Transcribe physician orders.
- Facilitate unobserved urine specimen collection and interact directly with patients to obtain necessary information.
- Process, label, and store specimen samples for subsequent analysis.
- Perform and document quality control procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Perform Med-Competence testing.
- Enter waived testing results into the LIS via manual entry mode.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment; perform light cleaning of work area.
- Perform specialized specimen collection as requested.
- Occasionally deliver or pick up specimens outside of the laboratory.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: 2 years of college or an associate’s degree.
- Minimum 3 years of lab‑related experience, including at least 3 months practicum in a clinical, hospital, or lab setting.
- Preference for prior waived testing experience.
- Certifications:
State MA-P (Medical Assistant Phlebotomist) or MA-C (Medical Assistant Certified).
$18.70–$25.74
