- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs.
- Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain.
- Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on self‑management techniques, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
- Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions.
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- PC proficiency and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Doctoral degree in physical therapy.
- Experience in physical therapy; new graduates are welcome.
- Additional certifications or licenses as required for the position.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Physical abilities: maintain stationary position, move equipment (50–100lbs), push, pull, bend.
- Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel and maintain professionalism.
- Technical/Motor skills: fine manipulation, assist with procedures, and use department equipment.
- Mental requirements: handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines, work under supervision as needed, maintain concentration and detail orientation.
- Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
