Howyou’ll contribute
AMental Health Counselor who excels in this role:
- Provides ASAM assessment, intakes, and counseling services to adult clients.
- Provides individual and family sessions, and group psychotherapy as assigned.
- Maintains accurate and complete records, including adequate paperwork to facilitate proper
billing. Knowledgeable of ASAM levels of care and their appropriate and effective application. - Maintains confidentiality of all patients, hospital, and employee related information.
- Delivers personalized, efficient care with respect for the individual’s spiritual and cultural differences.
- Participates in community consultation and education as requested.
- Participates in facility treatment team meetings communicating clinical impressions.
- Compiles comprehensive patient/family history and records the data.
- Works to ensure effective performance and productivity maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate patients.

The Mental Health Counselor must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. The requirements listed below are below representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Bilingual and/or English Spanish speaking preferred and ability to work with culturally diverse population.
- High School Diploma or equivalent – required
- AA in Social Services or equivalent (90 quarter/60 semester college credits) or bachelor’s degree in behavioral health sciences.
- Must been enrolled in an approved school and gaining the experience required to receive a Substance Use Disorder Professional credential.

Hourly range: $17.26- $22.44
