Drug and Alcohol Counselor

Full‑time position.

As a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, you will provide superior patient care that exceeds industry standards, focusing on the well‑being of patients and staff alike.

• Provides ASAM assessment, intakes, and counseling services to adult clients.
• Provides individual and family sessions, and group psychotherapy as assigned.
• Maintains accurate records and supports billing processes.
• Makes informed application of ASAM levels of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient, hospital, and employee information.
• Delivers personalized care respecting spiritual and cultural differences.
• Participates in community consultation and education.
• Participates in facility treatment team meetings and communicates clinical impressions.
• Compiles comprehensive patient/family history and records data.
• Works to ensure effective performance and productivity with a flexible schedule.

• Bilingual and/or English/Spanish speaking preferred; ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• AA in Social Services or equivalent (90 quarter/60 semester credits) or Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health sciences.
• Enrollment in an approved school and gaining experience required for a Substance Use Disorder Professional credential.

Hourly range: $17.26–$22.44.
