Position: Student Employee (ASCBC) Leadership (2026-2027)

Position Overview

Columbia Basin College (CBC) is hiring student workers for leadership positions within the Office of Student Activities/ASCBC. Eligible for fall, winter, and spring quarters of 2026‑2027.

These paid student leader positions offer flexible hours and are typically 15‑19 hours per week.

Work Hours & Compensation

Up to 19 hours per week (typical 15‑19). Hours are flexible within the school day; some evening or weekend hours may be required.

Hourly rate: $17.13.

Location:

2600 N. 20th Ave., Pasco, WA 99301.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Chair Club Council meetings, assist with club chartering, maintain documentation, coordinate with Student Activities staff, conduct quarterly visits, and ensure ongoing training.
  • Chair weekly Executive Council meetings, coordinate ASCBC activities, engage students, manage office space, and promote inclusivity.
  • Assist with the Leadership Council workshop, lobby for student‑friendly legislation, represent CBC at legislative and community events, present a monthly ASCBC report, and chair the Student Budget & Fees Committee.
  • Support chairpersons in campus events and activities, promote unity and cooperation among the ASCBC team and the student body, and assist with assigned tasks.
  • Attend weekly Executive Council meetings, assist other chairpersons, serve on ASCBC or CBC committees, encourage student involvement, coordinate ASCBC activities, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75; maintain 2.5 GPA during employment.
  • Registered for at least 6 credit hours at CBC with a minimum of 6 credit hours completed at CBC or another accredited institution; current plan to enroll in 6 credit hours for the 2026‑2027 academic year.
  • Flexible schedule, available 8:00‑16:30 Monday‑Friday when not in class; daily work schedule determined with supervisor.
  • Attend all meetings, trainings, retreats, and events required by supervisor.
